A submarine rescue chamber is a compartment that can be lowered into the ocean and used to save men and women who are trapped in a damaged submarine.  An example of a chamber can be seen at the Pacific Maritime Museum on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii.  It is one of several exhibits that visitors can enjoy at Pearl Harbor.
