Iolani Palace is a beautiful old building located next to the State Capital in downtown Honolulu.  Prior to Hawaii becoming the 50th state of the United States, the building was Hawaii's Royal Palace. Construction of Iolani Palace was completed in 1882.

Iolani Palace is the only Royal Palace in the United States. Visitors can tour the building during designated hours.  It is a short bus ride from Waikiki.
