The island of Oahu enjoys sunny warm weather throughout the year. The amount of precipitation received varies by location. The windward side of the island (i.e. east coast) and the higher elevations receive the most rain. The vegetation is consequently lush and green throughout the year.
The leeward side of the island (west coast) is much dryer.
