Koko Crater is tuff cone, according to geologists. This volcanic formation is located on the northeast of the Hawaii Kai community and encompasses a small botanical garden.  A hiking trail runs up the mountain from Hawaii Kai.

Visitors can also enjoy a view of the Koko Crater from the south end of Hanauma Bay.
